Rachel Owens, 39, of Speedwell, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 30, 1987, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to Hazle Mabes Spurlock and Tim Owens.
Rachel’s passing has left her family, friends, and loved ones mourning the loss of a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her special cousin, Steve Surber; uncle, Jeff Owens; and aunts, Donna Mabes and Mary Houk.

Rachel leaves behind her daughter, Kinsley Dean, who was especially important in her life.
She is also survived by her mother, Hazle Spurlock and her husband, Dan; father, Tim Owens; brother, Jesse Owens and his wife, Savannah; sister, Vanessa Owens Eubank; niece, Adalyn Owens; nephews, Nathan Eubank, Vincent Eubank, Jesse Lee Owens Jr., and Shooter Lee Owens; along with many other relatives and friends.
Her family will remember Rachel through the love, memories, and experiences they shared throughout her life.

Rachel Owens Funeral Services
Funeral services for Rachel Owens will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel, with Dan Spurlock, Kent Owens, and Andrew Ditty officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate.
Graveside services will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, at Ausmus Cemetery in Speedwell. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
A procession to the cemetery will begin gathering at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel.
Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel is serving the Owens family.
